Flu

For all that they say older adults are immune to H1N1 something suspiciously like it has hit my nursing home very hard this week. I've been exposed of course, and started feeling crummy after lunch. I made it home before I threw up. We've got people in the hospital, people with pneumonia, people with high fevers, people hallucinating, etc. And it looks like I've got it too, whatever it is.

Please pray I stay hydrated, as any illness like this causes me to need IVs if I get dehydrated.

I can't begin to explain how badly I ache right now.

Oh, I'm SOOO sorry you're not feeling well! The ache is the WORST! It's hard to look after yourself when you feel so crummy. I've noticed that I don't even remember to do the simplest things like drink lemon and honey...in fact, apple cider vinegar with honey in hot water is very therapeutic. Can you pump the vitamin C and echinacea, etc?? I LOVE Zicam gel up the nose. I mean, I don't LOVE it but I find it's VERY effective.

I'm so glad it's the weekend! I pray you can SLEEP A LOT! I drink a big glass of water with 1,000 mg vitamin C...pretty soon, I'm back in the bathroom with a big glass of water to do it again, if you know what I mean. Keep up those fluids! HUGS!!!
